About these terms

These terms apply when you use the website at https://maureensldn.com/, which is run by Maureen, trading as Maureen’s London (a sole trader). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the site

You are welcome to browse the site for your own personal use. Please do not:

use the site for anything unlawful or to harm others;
try to break into, disrupt or overload the site or its systems;
copy, scrape or reuse our content in bulk without our written permission; or
send us abusive, misleading or spam messages.

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We may change or remove content at any time.

Bookings

Appointments are arranged by WhatsApp, phone call or email. An appointment is only confirmed once we have agreed the date and time with you. All appointments take place at the salon; we do not offer home visits.

Please read our Policies page for details on deposits, cancellations and lateness. Those policies form part of your booking with us.

Online course purchase

Our online braiding course is digital content sold through the website. Checkout is handled by SureCart and card payments are processed by Stripe. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Licence: when you buy the course you get a personal, non-transferable licence to view the content for your own learning.
Your account: please keep your login details private and do not share them with anyone else.
No redistribution: you must not copy, record, resell, share or otherwise redistribute the course materials, or use them to teach or sell your own course.

Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right is lost once you have given your consent to us starting to provide access straight away and you have acknowledged that you will lose your right to cancel. You will be asked to give that consent and acknowledgement at checkout.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If the course is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us if there is a problem.

Intellectual property

All photos, videos, text, designs and course content on the site are copyright of Maureen’s London, unless we say otherwise. You may view them and share links to our pages, but you may not copy, edit or use them commercially without our written permission. Client photos and videos are shown with the client’s permission and remain protected.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Google reviews and Google Maps. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Using them is at your own risk and is subject to their own terms.

Disclaimer

General guidance only: hair-care tips and other information on the site and blog are general guidance. They are not medical or trichology advice. If you have a scalp condition, hair loss, allergies or other health concerns, please speak to your GP or a qualified specialist.
Results vary: every head of hair is different. Results depend on your hair type, condition and how you care for it, so we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
Patch tests: where products or extensions could cause a reaction, we recommend a patch test first. Please tell us about any allergies or sensitivities before your appointment.

Limit on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, for business losses, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control. The information on the site is provided in good faith but without any guarantee that it is complete or up to date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version.
